Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Historical Database
This database includes information for all SBIR awards made by the U.S. Department of Education (ED) since the beginning of the program in fiscal year (FY) 1983 through 2000.

Each award in this database includes the following information: name, address, and telephone number of the awardee; the amount and period of performance of the award; the principal investigator; proposal title and project abstract.

Follow the directions below to sort and view information about these awards. There are two (2) basic searches that you can perform --
  • One type generates a report developed from categories that you select -- the year(s), geographic area(s), award phase(s), and key word/phrase.
  • The second type permits you to to search for a specific awardee (firm).
